Holy Tuesday Resources

Hello friends!! Blessed Holy Tuesday!! I've got a lot I want to share with you today, so let's dive right in.

So, first I want to talk a little bit about the Divine Mercy Devotion. Coming up in a little over a week is Divine Mercy Sunday. It is the day we celebrate God's immense mercy for us all!! The Divine Mercy Devotion came to us from Jesus through Saint Faustina Kowalska. She was a Polish sister who received visions from Jesus. I hope to have a Saint Bio out soon with more information about her, but since we have a lot to cover, I'll cut to the chase. During these visions, Jesus gave Saint Faustina a devotion and promises to those who foster this devotion. Jesus gave us the image of Divine Mercy (which is at the head of this article), the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Divine Mercy Novena, the Great Hour of Mercy, and Divine Mercy Sunday. The promises Jesus gave those who foster a devotion to Divine Mercy are recorded in a link below, along with some more information about the Divine Mercy Devotion.

Alright now that you've got a bit of background on that, here's my proposal. The Divine Mercy Novena begins on April 18th, Good Friday, and ends on April 27th, Divine Mercy Sunday. I would like to encourage you to pray the Divine Mercy Novena this year! A how-to will be linked, as well as a site you can use to get notifications for the Novena with the prayers included. I will also be posting the prayers daily on the blog from April 18th to April 27th as well as a step by step guide to praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Now, most of you probably know another big thing is happening on Divine Mercy Sunday, Blessed Carlo Acutis is being canonized as a Saint!! Carlo is a patron of this blog, as he is the patron of the computer programmers, and youth. There are also several other patrons of this blog besides Catherine of Siena and Carlo that I will be posting about once Lent (and school) are over. Anyway, since Carlo is a Patron of this blog I will be linking another novena that starts on the same day as the Divine Mercy Novena that we can pray leading up to his canonization. (This will be a very link-y blog post my friends) Carlo's Saint bio will be published on the blog on April 27th, so keep an eye out for it.

Alright, I think I covered everything I want to cover. Thank you for staying with me :)

Below are the promised links, as well as the daily mass readings and the guide to Lectio Divina from yesterday.

See you in the Eucharist,

May

P.S As I said yesterday, none of these sites sponsor the blog, I do not receive anything from these sites for linking them, these sites probably don't even know this blog exists. The links are to sites I have used and found beneficial. :)
