54 Day Rosary Novena Challenge

Hey Friends!!
 Our Lady of Fatima in her apparitions asked us to pray the Rosary every single day. Well that can be a little hard can't it? How are we supposed to fit such a seemingly long prayer into our every day lives? Well, it seems hard, but it all depends on how much we are willing to commit. If we woke up fifteen minutes earlier, or went to bed fifteen minutes later, cut out fifteen minutes of extra tv or phone time, or turned the music down during a drive, we would all be able to fit a Rosary into our day. Let's try to build that habit together, friends!! Starting on May 31st, the feast of Mary's Visitation, let's start the 54 Day Rosary Novena. Every day I will send out a blog post with the prayers and an email reminder. Anyone who signs up and logs their rosary will have their rosaries counted and added to the Rosary Count which will be live on the blog on May 31st. At the end of the challenge, hopefully we will have completed several hundred Rosaries even if we missed a few days!!

Together, let us answer the call of Our Lady!!

Reflections From The Mission Field: The World is Thy Ship and not Thy Home

I walked into my room, shut and locked the door, flopped on my bed, and began to cry. After my grandparents had experienced a few different emergencies at their home in Michigan, my parents had decided we were going to move up there, from Florida, to help them. While I was all for the idea of helping my grandparents, I didn't want to leave my home. Michigan did not have my theatre group, my parish, my homeschool co-op, my youth group, or my friends. I was scared to start again somewhere new in the middle of high school.  What would people think of me?  What if I couldn't find a youth group like the one I was in now?  What was I supposed to do if I couldn't find a new theatre or homeschool group to join?  How would I make friends?  As much as I wanted answers to these questions, one question stuck in the forefront of my mind, why was God allowing us to go through this time of hardship. How AMAZING is God's love?!

Hi friends! Today I wanted to share a story/testimony/reflection on how I came to know all about God's amazing love!! Since I was 11 years old, I'd had it engrained in my mind that if I angered God, He would punish me severely and without mercy. I thought that God would hate me for even the smallest of honest mistakes. I was always plagued with the thought that one day I would mess up so badly, I couldn't be saved, I couldn't be forgiven, I couldn't be loved.  Little 11-year-old me didn't really know how to handle that, so I kept it kind of bottled up inside. I was scrupulously monitoring everything I did, replaying moments in my head over and over again to make sure I hadn't accidentally sinned, and forming private habits that, at first glance, could have been called pious, but were really things I did only because I feared I would not be loved if I didn't do them.
