Blessed Holy Monday dear friends!! 

As we enter into Holy Week, it may be easy to treat it like any other week until we get to the Triduum. I want to invite each of you to set each day of this week apart in a special way. Today my encouragement for you is to find a date to make it to the sacrament of Confession before Easter, if you haven't already been this lent. As Catholics, we are required to receive communion at least once during the Easter season. Going to confession is the best way to prepare your soul for receiving our Lord. Most parishes will have special times for confessions during Holy Week, so check your parish website or bulletin to see when you can go! Some parishes also allow confessions by appointment, so if you are not in a state of grace, you can always give your parish a call and set up a time!! Confession can be scary, but don't worry, you haven't done anything the priest hasn't heard. Reflections From The Mission Field: The World is Thy Ship and not Thy Home

I walked into my room, shut and locked the door, flopped on my bed, and began to cry. After my grandparents had experienced a few different emergencies at their home in Michigan, my parents had decided we were going to move up there, from Florida, to help them. While I was all for the idea of helping my grandparents, I didn't want to leave my home. Michigan did not have my theatre group, my parish, my homeschool co-op, my youth group, or my friends. I was scared to start again somewhere new in the middle of high school.  What would people think of me?  What if I couldn't find a youth group like the one I was in now?  What was I supposed to do if I couldn't find a new theatre or homeschool group to join?  How would I make friends?  As much as I wanted answers to these questions, one question stuck in the forefront of my mind, why was God allowing us to go through this time of hardship. How AMAZING is God's love?!

Hi friends! Today I wanted to share a story/testimony/reflection on how I came to know all about God's amazing love!! Since I was 11 years old, I'd had it engrained in my mind that if I angered God, He would punish me severely and without mercy. I thought that God would hate me for even the smallest of honest mistakes. I was always plagued with the thought that one day I would mess up so badly, I couldn't be saved, I couldn't be forgiven, I couldn't be loved.  Little 11-year-old me didn't really know how to handle that, so I kept it kind of bottled up inside. I was scrupulously monitoring everything I did, replaying moments in my head over and over again to make sure I hadn't accidentally sinned, and forming private habits that, at first glance, could have been called pious, but were really things I did only because I feared I would not be loved if I didn't do them.
