The Mission Field: Highlights of Being a Catholic Part 2

May the Lord bless you friends!! Here is part two of the article "Highlights of Being Catholic." Enjoy!

So, what is your favorite part about being a Catholic?

"Mostly, everyone you meet who is also Catholic (and Christian) tends to have pretty good morals, and they make good friends."

"My favorite part about being a Catholic would be being able to receive the Eucharist and going to Reconciliation."

"I think just the opportunity to go to confession and God's infinite mercy is incredible to me. The fact that we get the Blessed Sacrament exposed in adoration is such a beautiful way of worshipping Our Lord. Going to Mass every Sunday, witnessing the ultimate sacrifice of the Mass, is more than words will ever be able to describe."

"I think for me, my favorite part is "Memento Mori" (Remember death) knowing that death is the gateway to Eternal Life. And that "Tempus Fugit" (Time flies) so we have to keep in mind our choices in life because it will determine our destination. "Carpe Diem" (Seize the day) to make the lives of others easier, and to become more virtuous yourself for the Lord. Finally, a lesser known one, "Post Resurgo Mortem" (After death I rise again), that is, if we choose Heaven in our earthly lives, we will rise again after our death to join in Eternal Life with God, forever. Just knowing all that. How theres and end to our lives makes me love to be a Catholic. Knowing that God is waiting for us to choose Him and die for Him (sometimes literally) helps me to keep going and push through for Him."

"My favorite part about being a Catholic is the community that it brings together. When you meet someone who is just a Christian, you have somewhat of a connection, but when you meet a Catholic, you share something that the others don't understand. The sacraments and the holidays practiced make being a part of the Church so beautiful. And as a Catholic, you're not just praying to one person {that is to say you're not asking just one intercessor for prayers. Catholics worship only God.} you have so many people in your corner: the Saints, Mary, Joseph, the Holy Spirit, and Our Lord Jesus Christ. When you're Catholic, you receive the Sacraments, which not only make you stronger in your faith, but also further you on your spiritual journey."

"I think my favorite part would be loving and being loved by the One who made me and gave everything to and for me. No matter how many times I fail, mess up, or however bad my grades are, He'll always love me; not because He has to, but because He wants to."

Those are all of our answers for now! I hope you enjoyed this article.

See you in the Eucharist,

May
